Safety and Separation

Generator Power Has to Stay Separated.

The single most important thing a generator connection does is keep generator power and utility power apart. A transfer switch exists so the two sources can never be tied together, which protects your equipment and protects the utility crews working on the lines outside.

That is why we do not improvise connections. Every installation gets a proper transfer means, correctly sized conductors and overcurrent protection, clear labeling at the connection point, and grounding and bonding handled to code.

Then we test it. A standby system that has never been run under load is an assumption, not a backup plan.

Do you install permanent standby generators for businesses?

Yes. We handle the electrical side of commercial standby installations: the feeder and pad work, the automatic transfer switch, the connection back to your service, and the controls, then we test the system under load before we hand it over.

Can you connect a rented generator during an outage or project?

Yes. We install permanent generator connection points and cam-lock tap boxes so a portable or rental unit can be tied in quickly and safely, and we can perform the connection when the unit arrives.

What is an automatic transfer switch?

An automatic transfer switch senses when utility power fails, starts the generator, and transfers your load to it, then transfers back and shuts the generator down when utility power returns. It also keeps generator and utility power safely separated.

Do you provide temporary power for construction sites?

Yes. We set temporary services and distribution for jobsites and events, including generator hookups, feeders, and distribution panels, sized for the actual load and removed cleanly when the project ends.
