Why It Matters

An Old Panel Is a Ceiling on Your Home.

EV chargers, heat pumps, additions, and modern kitchens all draw more power than older services were designed to carry. A full panel, a fused service, or recalled equipment (like FPE Stab-Lok or Zinsco) is both a limitation and a safety concern.

We evaluate your existing service, size the upgrade correctly, coordinate the utility disconnect and permit, and install a modern panel that leaves room to grow.

  • Panel and load evaluation
  • Service upsize (100A to 4000A+)
  • Utility coordination and permitting
  • Recalled/obsolete panel replacement

How It Works

From Assessment to Energized.

01

Assess the Service

We inspect your panel, meter, and grounding, and confirm what your loads actually require now and soon.

02

Scope & Permit

A clear estimate, the right service size, and coordination with the utility and inspector.

03

Install & Verify

New panel or service installed to code, labeled cleanly, and tested before power is restored.

Who This Serves

From Aging Homes to Growing Demands.

Older Middle Tennessee homes were wired for a fraction of today’s electrical load. If your home still runs on a 100-amp service, a fuse box, or a panel that is full, you are limited every time you add a major appliance, an addition, or an EV charger.

We serve homeowners upgrading for safety, buyers whose inspection flagged the panel, and anyone adding load the existing service cannot support. We also upgrade commercial services and distribution for growing facilities.

Safety & Capacity

A Modern Panel Is Peace of Mind.

A failing or undersized panel is one of the most common hidden hazards in a home. Overheating breakers, scorched bus bars, and double-tapped circuits are warning signs the service needs attention before it becomes an emergency.

Every upgrade is permitted, inspected, and clearly labeled so future work is safe and simple. We coordinate the utility disconnect and reconnect to keep your outage as short as possible.

Questions

Panel & Service Upgrades FAQs

How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?

Common signs include a full panel with no room for new breakers, frequently tripping breakers, a fuse box, a recalled panel brand, or plans to add an EV charger, addition, or heat pump. We assess and advise before recommending an upgrade.

Do you replace recalled panels like FPE or Zinsco?

Yes. Federal Pacific (Stab-Lok) and Zinsco panels are known safety concerns, and we replace them with modern, properly rated equipment installed to code.

Will my power be off during the upgrade?

A service or panel change requires a planned outage while we swap equipment and the utility reconnects. We schedule it to keep that window as short as possible.
